Clay McCullar is the owner of McCullar Properties Group, proudly founded in 2018. However, the McCullar family is no stranger to farm and ranch real estate. As a third generation real estate expert, Clay follows a legacy that began over 60 years ago. Welch Realty was opened by Clay’s Grandfather, Waymon Welch in 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee - which was a large agricultural hub at the time. Clay’s father, Meredith McCullar would soon follow in similar footsteps, founding McCullar Realty Company in 1979. McCullar Realty flourished across the southern United States, serving as the standard for commercial real estate in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. While managing a commercial real estate company, Meredith was instrumental in building investment groups for ranchland in West Texas during the 1980s. It is safe to say, there is a passion for farm and ranch real estate in Clay’s family; a legacy deeply rooted in a love of the land.
Clay is also a proud graduate of Abilene Christian University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness. Professionally, Clay obtained his real estate license in 2014, and achieved the designation of ‘Accredited Land Consultant’ from the Realtor’s Land Institute in 2018 - making him a farm and ranchland realty expert.
He and his wife, Kristi McCullar have been married since 2001. Clay is also a distinguished equestrian, having been inducted into the National Cutting Horse Non/Pro Hall of Fame in 2013.
Clay has been recognized as a part of the 2018 APEX Producers club Realtors® Land Institute as a part of the RLI APEX Production Awards Program, sponsored by The Land Report. All land professionals recognized as part of the RLI APEX Producers Club are active members of RLI and have at least four million dollars of qualifying dollar volume in closed land sales in 2018.
